Buc-ee's post - Palmer Lake - Buc-ee’s land annexation eligibility meeting on Dec 12 at 6pm

Here’s the forwarded post: Palmer Lake has a Buc-ee’s land annexation eligibility meeting on Dec 12 at 6pm. They think this is slam dunk and are surprised there has been no opposition. The planned Buc-ees is at I-25 and County Line road (southwest corner at the top of the hill)--nearly 2 miles outside of current town boundary. Buc-ee’s is no normal travel plaza: - 120 gas pumps—Tri-Lakes currently has 136 pumps across 11 gas stations including the Baptist Rd travel plazas - 400-500 concrete parking spots - Each Buc-ee’s averages 7,000-20,000 vehicles a day - Palmer Lake’s own Community Master Plan says “discourage the development of any big-box or large franchise business” - This destination travel plaza will be the second in CO (pic below is Johnstown with 116 pumps) Show up to the Palmer Lake Town Board of Trustees Meeting, Dec 12 at 6pm (42 Valley Crescent St, Palmer Lake, CO 80133). The town drove out Dollar General because it was going to be right in town, but two hills away and out of sight is fine? Not in their backyard, just in someone else’s front yard!
